Blake woke me up on the morning of April 14th, 2016 to get ready for church. Little did I know, that I wouldn't be going to church that morning. As I was getting ready and blow drying my hair, he came into the bathroom with the Go Pro smiling a huge grin saying "We're not going to church today, we're going on an adventure!" I was so confused as he laid out an outfit for me to put on (jeans, plaid and boots) and also told me to bring my blue dress. He made me breakfest and we took off on our little adventure! We drove through woods and even went splashing right through a creek, where finally we stopped. Gorgeous horses were running everywhere on beautiful land. (I had wanted to ride so badly and absolutely love horses and animals.) I was so excited as I hopped up on the horse and we both took off with a guide ahead of us on a 2 hour horse ride :) Over hills and through water it was one the most gorgeous and best feelings in the world to finally ride a horse again! I am definetly not a cowgirl by any means and quite frankly hate getting dirty :) or have that much experience but my love for animals is strong and I love being with them. I had realized by this point that he was just being romantic and taking me out for a fun day! With our crazy busy lives we hardly ever get to go on dates! After the horse ride he told me to change into my dress. We went out to eat at the Cheesecake Factory in Franklin, TN. My favorite town in Tennessee. After we ate I expected to be on our way home, when he said there was one more stop we had to make! By this point it was pitch black outside and I had yet again, no idea where the heck we were going! We drove into this neighborhood and I just kept thinking "ok? we're going to visit someone obviously?" The car stopped and I looked out my window. Rose pedals and white bags with candles inside lit the way up to a gorgeous white Gazebo. As we started walking up there a guitar player came out of the bushes singing our song (Thinking Out Loud) and playing her guitar. Pictures of us were strung around the entire gazebo and candles everywhere. There was even a table set up with pedals all over it and more pictures and memories of us. The tears started flowing as I went around to all the pictures and looked at every one. We have had amazing memories together. Blake then took my hand, and the moment I had been waiting forever for happened right in front of my eyes, he got down on one knee. I will never forget the way my heart felt as he said to me "You're my best friend, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you Marry me?" As I slid off my promise ring he had given me almost 3 years ago to put on my engagement ring, I couldnt help but thank God. If he wouldn't have put us together in the right place at the right time I would have never found the man of my dreams. I will thank God everyday for the rest of my life for bringing this man into my life. It's the kind of love that never fades. I cannot wait to be his wife. <3

  • Having a relationship that includes God

For anyone that knows me, they know that my faith means a lot to me. As soon as Blake and I moved here to Nashville, we were led to an amazing church that has given us strength, made us realize what our passion is yet again and truly live a godly life. As I plan for our wedding like crazy, up at night on pinterest till 2am looking for ideas, and dreaming of what the big day will look like I realized one thing.. I realized that I am so thankful to have a man in my life that not only supports my career and loves me, but also loves God. Waking up in the moring to go to church with big smiles on both of our faces, and not having a relationship where I believe and he doesnt. Not having to force him to go to church every Sunday because he enjoys going just as much as I do. Everything I've ever wanted in a guy, God gave me and I realized how amazing, to live the faith based life we have and a relationship that includes God. Marriage is a huge committment and knowing that God has hand picked each of us and placed us with eachother is just incredible to me. I am so blessed to have this amazing guy in my life. <3
